Most of our garments are crafted from premium 100% cotton to give you that perfect blend of comfort and durability. To keep them looking their best for years to come, follow these simple care guidelines.
Tees
Always wash on a cool cycle (30°C maximum). Hot water can damage the fibres and cause your tees to lose their shape and vibrancy. A cool wash protects the fabric integrity and keeps colours sharp.
NEVER tumble dry. This is the number one cause of shrinkage in cotton garments. Always air dry your tees—lay them flat or hang them up to maintain their original fit and finish.
Wash after each wear. Our sweat glands are concentrated in areas like underarms and the torso, which means your tees take the brunt of daily wear. Turn them inside out before washing to protect prints and graphics.
Hoodies & Sweatpants
Cool wash (30°C) and air dry only. The same rules apply—no hot water, no tumble dryer.
You don't need to wash these as often as tees. Because our sweat glands are concentrated in the upper torso and underarms, hoodies and joggers can go multiple wears between washes without issue—unless you eat like a dog and can't keep your food in your mouth, in which case, you might want to wash them sooner.
Give your heavier pieces a break between washes. You'll extend their life and save water in the process.
Denim
Wash sparingly on a cool cycle (30°C). Denim actually improves with age and doesn't need frequent washing. Wash only when necessary to preserve the fabric and colour. We recommend washing once a quarter (unless you happen to be rolling in mud in them)
Always air dry. Never tumble dry denim—it causes shrinkage and weakens the fibres. Hang or lay flat to dry.
Turn inside out before washing to protect the colour and any detailing.
Sportswear
Cool wash (30°C) after each wear. Sportswear picks up sweat and bacteria, so it needs regular washing to stay fresh.
Air dry only. Heat from tumble dryers can damage technical fabrics and cause them to lose their shape.
Avoid fabric softener—it can reduce the breathability and moisture-wicking properties of performance fabrics.
How to Spot Quality Before You Buy
Look for 100% cotton. Poly-cotton blends might seem convenient, but they won't last as long as pure cotton garments. After just a few washes, poly blends start pilling—those annoying small balls of fabric that form on the surface of the garment. It's a telltale sign of lower quality.
Pure cotton ages better, feels better, and maintains its integrity wash after wash. It's why we use it exclusively at FROST. When you're investing in your wardrobe, always check the label—100% cotton is a mark of quality that pays off in the long run.
Final Tips
- Turn garments inside out before washing to protect prints and graphics
- Avoid harsh detergents or bleach
- Iron on a low heat if needed, avoiding any printed areas
Treat your FROST pieces right, and they'll keep you looking sharp season after season.
